Position Description

A health services network in New York City is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their growing Women's Health team.

About The Opportunity

Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: Standard business
Setting: Outpatient
Specialty: Women's Health

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough health assessments for female patients, including physical exams, medical histories, and lab tests
Diagnose and treat gynecological and reproductive conditions, such as menstrual disorders, STIs, menopause, and urinary tract infections
Provide prenatal and postnatal care, including routine checkups, health education, and counseling
Offer family planning services, including contraception counseling, fertility treatment, and preconception care
Provide health education and counseling on topics such as sexual health, nutrition, exercise, and mental wellness

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Nursing
Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner education program approved by the NYS Education Department
NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from a recognized accrediting body, such as the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
ACLS and/or BLS certifications
Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or eligibility for registration
Active Medicare/Medicaid enrollment or eligibility to enroll
Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
Microsoft Office suite proficient
