Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant New

A leading healthcare system in New Jersey is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their high-acuity Level III NICU team. This is a locum opportunity designed to provide flexible shift coverage across days, nights, and weekends.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Days, Nights or Weekends
• Schedule: 6 to 8 shift per month
• Hours: 7am to 5:30pm (Days); 4:30pm to 8:30am (Nights); or 12 to 24-hour shifts (weekends)
• On-Call: No
• Setting: Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Responsibilities:

• Managing the care of neonates in a Level III NICU setting
• Performing physical assessments and evaluations
• Collaborating with residents and attending physicians on care plans
• Documenting care accurately and timely in EMR
• Participating in night and weekend coverage as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience in a Level III or higher setting
• MSN and/or Physician Assistant Degree from an accredited program
• NJS licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Current DEA & CDS (NJ) registration
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Experience in managing high-volume NICU census
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Desired Skills:

• Prior experience with EPIC EMR
