Greetings,
My name is Anne Dwyer. I am the Nurse Practitioner Residency Coordinator working with Grace Reilly Mazzatta and we have exciting news! We were awarded a grant from HRSA to create a new Nurse Practitioner Residency Program. I have included information about our program and how to apply below. I have also attached a brochure.
The HRSA- ANE Nurse Practitioner Residency Program is a one-year, full time commitment designed to bridge the new Nurse Practitioner from academia to competent and confident clinician with a focus on clinical experience in outpatient primary care, specialty medical practices and urgent care centers specific to the APN’s population foci. Didactic sessions will supplement the clinical experience with Grand Round Presentations, quality improvement project, journal club, SIM skills lab. Applicants should have a strong desire to work in primary care/ outpatient settings, FQHCs or other settings that serve the uninsured/ underinsured/ underserved populations at the completion of this program. The candidate must be a recent graduate of an accredited NP program, either the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The graduate APN will hold national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner, be licensed to practice as an APN in NJ and have an NPI number
The application process for the HMH Graduate Nurse Practitioner Residency Program is currently accepting applications.
If any interested candidate graduated on or after January 1, 2019, they are eligible to apply. Applicants should have a desire to work in primary care, FQHCs or other safety settings within underserved communities and meet other criteria as described on the career link.
