On June 4th, Gov. Phil Murphy signed Executive Order No. 151, which extends the Public Health Emergency originally declared on March 9, 2020. Under the Emergency Health Powers Act, the declared public health emergency expires after 30 days unless renewed.
This action includes the EO #112 and extends the temporary removal of the requirement for a joint protocol collaborative agreement until July 4th at which time it will either expire or be renewed by the Governor.
This is an important time for you to write, email, or call your Assembly people to let them know why making this permanent is important to your patients.
Attached is a template you may use if you wish to contact your Assemblyperson. It's even more important that you tell your own story. If you need to find your legislator, click here
The following Assemblypeople have ALREADY agreed to sponsor or co-sponsor our bill. You might just want to send them an email thanking them for their support and offering yours in whatever way you can during throughout the continuing health needs of the pandemic.
The companion Senate Bill has not yet been introduced. We will let you know when to take action on that.
